A G R E E M E N T

As a MOVE IT Math™ Associate, I understand that I belong to the MOVE IT Math™ Guild formed to promote MOVE IT Math™, uphold MOVE IT Math™ standards, and protect other members of the guild from exploitation. I hereby agree to the following:

That as a member of the MOVE IT Math™ Guild,

•xI will think and speak positively of other guild members.

•xI will cultivate professional growth in myself and others.

•xI agree to democratic procedures in the governance of the guild.

That in conducting a MOVE IT Math™ inservice,

•xI will take responsibility and show initiative.

•xI will exude confidence and avoid haughtiness, even with hecklers.

•xI will guard against being defensive when reading participant’s evaluations of the inservice and will try to view criticism from their perspective.

•xI will work to make the next one better.

That if asked to provide a MOVE IT Math™ inservice by my school district,

•xI may do so providing they have already received a MOVE IT Math™ sanctioned inservice for the level of training in question.

•xI am qualified to do so. (Being qualified for a particular level assumes at least 24 hours of MOVE IT Math™ sanctioned instruction in that level plus the successful implementation of that level in one’s classroom for at least one semester.)

I understand that in providing a MOVE IT Math™ inservice for my school district,

•xI may use the training manual I have been given.

•xI may make and distribute copies of the training manual for classroom use.

•xI may enlist the help of other teachers to conduct the inservice, but may not authorize them to conduct MOVE IT Math™ inservices on their own.

That if asked to provide a MOVE IT Math™ inservice by a school or school district, including my own, that has not received a MOVE IT Math™ sanctioned inservice, I will refer them to MOVE IT Math™ and will not conduct such an inservice unless authorized to do so by MOVE IT Math™.
