Angle Wedges (p. 251)
xxxxxA set of 10-, 15-, and 30-degree Angle Wedges. A classroom set of them would consist of the two circles worth of Angle Wedges per student.
xxxxxThe major uses of the Angle Wedges are to give meaning to degree measure and to direct the discovery of certain key theorems in geometry. For the former, have students measure the angles on page 252, first with the Angle Wedges, then with protractors. (See Angles for the measures of the angles.) For the latter, have students use the Angle Wedges with a circular geoboard or the circular dot paper on pages 175-176.
