xxxxxThe helicopters are used with the blank Verifying Probabilities table on page 259 to verify the extent to which helicopters fall within a predetermined area the expected number of times. To this end, have students lay out some tiles, mark off a certain number of them, and drop a great many helicopters on them to see if each of them gets its “fair share” of helicopters.
